Trade has been omnipresent in Istanbul’s history and is the keyword for this area. From the Egyptian or Spice Bazaar on the shore of the Golden Horn (Haliç) in Eminönü all the way up the hill to the Grand Bazaar, you’ll find side-streets full of merchants showing their goods in various markets.
The district is also home to the Suleymaniye Mosque, often forgotten by tourists but in my opinion even nicer than the more famous Blue Mosque.
- Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı)
- Süleymaniye Mosque (Süleymaniye Camii)
- Egyptian or Spice Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı)
- Eminönü
- Bosphorus Tours (Boğaz Turu)
