The listing on this page is based on personal experiences cross-checked with customer reviews provided by Booking.com. Most of the hotels have either been visited by myself or by one or more of my acquaintances.
By clicking on a hotel name, you can obtain detailed information about it, provided by either Booking.com or the hotel’s own website.
- Zeynep Sultan Boutique - Zeynep Sultan is a small (24 rooms), friendly and immaculately clean boutique style hotel located right in the heart of the city, proof of which is the small street with its cobblestones.
- Seven Hills - Located right between the Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, yet overlooking the Sea of Marmara sea, this hotel offers 18 spacious rooms, all with harwood floor and king-size beds. In the evening you can unwind with a cocktail at the bar terrace and enjoy Turkish music.
- Kybele - This 16 room hotel is a small, intimate, family run establishment. A one of a kind visual feast, not in the least for the over 3000 antique lamps hanging from the ceilings all over the hotel. The Kybele is a firm favourite for many.
- Orient Express - Named after the nostalgic train Orient Express, its 54 small but cosy rooms are all decorated in an authantic way. The hotel features a panoramic terrace restaurant, an indoor swimming pool and train wagon bar. Ask for rooms in the back, since the street tends to be noisy.
